Jess' FFS fund! Help your local tranny get a new face!

Hi!

I'm Jess.

I came out as trans in late 2020/early 2021 after bouncing in and out of the closet for like two and a half decades (long story, it sucks), and I've been DIYing for most of that!

Things have been going absolutely great so far as far as that's concerned, my quality of life has gone up exponentially, and I'm finally living a life as me - all of which is wonderful really!

Despite all the positivity though, the ever present existential dread of dysphoria has very much settled in to the point where getting FFS is no longer just "maybe I should get this sometime in the future", but something that's become absolutely necessary to go through to try and get live a life where I actually look in the mirror without three inches of makeup on and don't feel levels of self loathing that I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Unfortunately for everyone who wants it, the cost of FFS privately is wildly prohibitive. More often than not I keep seeing figures that wind up being more than my annual salary and then some, and while I can save in my current job, with the amount I'm able to put away every month it'd take me about six or seven years. If I cut out everything from my life that isn't rent/utilities/food, I could maybe get that down to five. Maybe. And that's assuming the cost of living in the UK doesn't keep going up, my rent doesn't spike, or something entirely unexpected doesn't happen that sets me back

The amount I've put down as the goal is the expected cost (this might change once I have a proper consultation) for nose, jaw and chin based on speaking to people that have been to the surgeon I'm looking at. I'm hoping post consultation it's a lot less, but knowing my luck it's probably going to either be right, or more. Probably more.

So, that brings us here! I don't really like asking for help at the best of times, but I can't keep going on like this. I know it's super unlikely this will ever be funded, but it does start going that way I'll give updates and stuff, and if I can think of any milestones and the likes I'll do whatever I can to give back however I can.
