Jessi’s Cancer Fight

We are fundraising to help Jessi and her family while she goes through treatment and surgery for breast cancer. Jessi Kofler was diagnosed on September 1st with stage 3 breast cancer which locally advanced to her lymph nodes. Jessi begins her journey October 4th, with 20 weeks of chemotherapy, followed by bi-lateral mastectomy surgery and lymph node removal. After her first surgery, she will have 5 weeks of radiation which will be every day-Monday- Friday, and then finally reconstructive surgery following radiation. Her chemotherapy will be in Brainerd (about 30 minutes from her home) but her periodic checkups and both surgeries will be at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis (a 2 1/2 hour drive away).

Jessi and her long- term boyfriend Jamie Stoerzinger have 2 daughters, 15 year old Jenna and 8 year old Maddie, who are very active in sports (hockey, tennis and softball). Jessi works for TDS but has very little sick and vacation time left for the year for the days she will need off for treatment (not to mention when she is not feeling well enough to work).

The medical bills are already coming in and they will be going through a lot of gas running to her treatments, appointments, and surgeries, not to mention hotel, meals, and gas for when she is in Minneapolis for her surgeries.
