Jessie Schulz-Salazar Unexpected Surgery Expenses

Hello, my name is Kim (Schulz) Damrow. I am setting up this Go Fund Me account for my niece, Jessie (Schulz) Salazar, who has recently been diagnosed with some serious health issues.

Jessie had not been feeling well the past couple of months with headaches, loss of balance and speech issues. Doctors were not able to identify anything specifically that was causing these concerns. Thankfully, the search for answers continued and we were fortunate enough to get her to see a neurosurgeon at UW Health University Hospital in Madison right away. They discovered a sizable tumor in her brain behind her left ear. This mass has also caused pressure on the top of her spine which has added to her symptoms. Surgery is imperative and is scheduled for April 7th.

She will be in the hospital for several days following the surgery, plus recovery time and rehab. Jessie’s immediate family (husband, Anthony; her sons Ryan and Collin and their little sister Rosalie) will be staying in hotels in Madison during this time. Her grandparents, mother, aunt and uncle will also be traveling back and forth while we support her during this journey.

All funds raised will go to help with medical expenses including deductibles, copays and items not covered by insurance such as hotels, gas and meals.

We would be so grateful for anything you wish to contribute as this unplanned journey in returning her health will leave a financial cloud for the young family.

Please lift Jessie up in prayer for strength, resilience and returned health. Prayers for the hands of her surgical team and her extended family of caregivers as we move through this uneasy time. This young woman is a treasure to our family.
