Jessie Sharp Celebration of Life Fund

Hi, my name is Cecilia, and I was one of Jessie's closest friends. I'm assisting the family in organizing a celebration of life for her in December and am arranging funds to cover event costs with permission from the family.

Jessie Marie Sharp passed away unexpectedly in November 2022 at 28 years old. The official cause of death is unknown at this time, as the family is still waiting for the report. She was cremated on November 18th, roughly two weeks after her death, and her ashes will be scattered at sea. She is remembered by her parents, her brother, and 500 of her closest friends.

Jessie's passing came as a horrible shock to us all. If you're reading this page, you probably already know, but she was the brightest spark most of us had ever met. Despite enduring extraordinary medical hardship, she led by example with love, enthusiasm, weirdness, and hope. She had big goals and a huge heart, and she made a lasting impression on everyone she spent time with. Her fashion sense? Iconic. Her sense of humor? Inexplicable. Her laser-sharp passion for conservation, justice, and fairness? Impeccable. It is hard to explain the degree to which her absence has shattered our social scene and our sense of normalcy.

This memorial event will be held at her apartment, where her friends can reminisce and explore her beautiful living space, grab some mementos for themselves, and then hopefully move to DNA Lounge for some dancing. We are raising funds to cover food, small memorial trinkets to remember Jessie by, and drinks.
