Jessie's story in her own words:

A couple of years ago, I started experiencing constant discomfort in my stomach. I tried to get medical attention through my health insurance, but as many of you know, the system is overwhelmed… and to this day, I haven’t been able to get a timely appointment (my last one was postponed three times!).

Even though my annual blood tests kept coming back normal, the discomfort never went away. A few weeks ago, I was finally able to see a gastroenterologist. From the first consultation, he suspected the issue might not be digestive but gynecological. He ordered an abdominal CT scan and, after reviewing the results, referred me to a gynecology specialist.

During my visit with the gynecologist, the root of the problem was finally confirmed: it was in my uterus. After further tests, I was told I have a severe load of uterine fibroids. All the pain, fatigue, and constant discomfort… finally had an explanation.

Now, I need to undergo surgery as soon as possible, but the cost is $5,000—and I need to raise it within this week. It’s a big challenge and a difficult moment, but I trust that with God’s help and the support of those around me, I will get through this.
