First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to visit this page. I am so thankful for you & your support!
As you may or may not know, I am moving to Kona, Hawaii on July 1st to enroll as a student in Youth With a Mission's Discipleship Training School (YWAM DTS ).
If you aren't familiar with this program, it's an amazing opportunity for its students to live & learn God's word through lectures, community living and global outreach. YWAM is a global missions organization that offers DTS in over 200 locations around the world. The program lasts 6 months and is split between a lecture phase and outreach phase.
The lecture phase covers a variety of topics in a classroom setting, as well as through community service within the local Kona community. The global outreach phase focuses on actually applying what we learn in the classroom through an intense, cross-cultural experience. I find out two weeks into my program which country I will complete my outreach, so stay tuned for those updates in mid-July!
My hope for this trip is to hear God's voice and to have a deeper understanding of my passions in the context of God's mission: to have all His children know and worship Him. I want to know Him more and to learn how I can be a vessel of His love to the world in a real & practical way.
While I'm SO excited for DTS, there's a lot to prep including fundraising for my tuition. If you are able, I would appreciate all donations of any amount to help me cover costs for both the lecture & outreach phases. Just click on "Donate Now"!
