Jessica's Journey

In June 2010, at the age of 35, Jessica was diagnosed with Stage III Invasive Ductal Carcinoma an aggressive Breast Cancer.  Her treatment included a double mastectomy, chemotherapy, radiation and breast reconstruction. Throughout the past five years she has remained vigilant and has followed the advice of her oncologist. She has continued treatment and allowed additional preventative surgeries to be performed in order to avoid recurrence. Unfortunately on June 17th, 2015 Jessica learned that her cancer returned with a vengeance.  It is now Metastatic and has spread to her bones, her brain, her lungs and her lymph system. Throughout the past month she has endured four surgeries and has also been receiving hormone therapy and chemotherapy. She has handled this recurrence with grace, dignity, courage, strength, faith, hope, and a fierce determination to FIGHT! Although her cancer is not curable (at least not today), it is treatable. Treatment is expensive!  This page has been created in hopes that together we can ease the burden of her medical expenses, subsequent travel expenses, loss of income and just every day living expenses. She is a fighter who deserves to focus on her two beautiful boys Jacob and Max, her significant other Mason and his daughter Kendal, and her family and friends.
