Jessica's Plea: Aid for Paisley's Care

Another update: At about 4:30 EST Paisley crossed the rainbow bridge. I am in a state of shock at how fast this all happened but wanted to wish a thank you to anyone who shared this...and especially to those who have donated. I greatly appreciate each of you.

Update: 3:17 EST 6/28/25. The vet just delivered some of the worst news we could have received. The vet's professional opinion is that even with the treatment they want to give Paisley that she will likely pass away on her own overnight. That she is not only going to die but that she is also in alot of pain right now due to the mass. It is bleeding into her chest. She is not going to come home at this point. We are going to have the vet euthanize her to spare her the pain. It is my hope that any funds I receive will go towards Paisleys cremation at this point.

My name is Jessica. The picture is of Paisley our dog. More specifically, my daughter Ashe's dog. We are currently in Colorado on a planned trip. While we were gone Paisley started acting weird. She was a bit lethargic and wasn't eating all of her food. At first we just chalked it up to Paisley missing us. Then she started acting worse. She was stumbling a bit when she would try to walk. Looking a little more frail than she should. So my husband and oldest child, Gabriel, took her to an Urgent Care this morning. The urgent care turned them around and send her to an ER. We were not prepared for the news. The Vet is concerned with a mass that is in her chest. She stated that Paisley was likely suffering from a type of dog vertigo which was comorbid to the mass. When we left the house Paisley seemed fine. So this was not only a shock for us but financially we were not prepared for this. Right now diagnostically the vet is asking us for 1400$. Which is not the treatment plan just diagnostic. I am in Colorado right now which is not my home in Virginia and looking to cancel all my plans to come home asap. I need help. I don't ask for help like this. Please help me help my daughter make it home in time to say goodbye to her dog.
