Jessica’s Kicking Anal Cancer in the A$$
Donation protected
As many of you know my family and I were recently knocked to our knees when we received the devastating news that I have cancer, specifically, Stage 3 Squamous Cell Anal Cancer. I’m writing this from my hospital bed as I recover from colostomy surgery that I now know will be permanent. I have a large tumor that will need to be removed and will be done after I finish radiation and chemotherapy. My doctors are encouraged as my type of cancer responds very well to treatment. The plan is to start radiation and chemotherapy as soon as I am strong enough. I had planned on spending my maternity leave getting to know the newest member of our family, Jayson Ross and helping our daughter Kyleigh get to know her baby brother. My pregnancy was painful with multiple trips to the hospital, we now know the pain was caused by the cancer and not my pregnancy. I will not be returning to work as planned and the cost of health insurance premiums , the deductible and co-insurance is going to be extremely difficult.
Those who know me know that I don’t like to ask for help, I am humbled to have friends who have asked me create this account. I am truly blessed to have so many wonderful family members and friends who want to help us through this very difficult time. Many thanks to all who are praying and all that you have already done to help!
