Jessica's Journey: faith, hope, & healing

My name is Matt and this is my wife, Jessica, and our 3 children N.D., Timber, and Gabriel (8,5,&3). "The essence of her being is woven with the threads of grace and compassion". She's a mother beyond compare and is the very light that brightens our home. She is deeply loved and we are praying and asking for support.

In August of 2022 our family was thrown into a tumultuous season when my Jessica was diagnosed with stage 3 Melanoma. She did a year of the recommended immunotherapy and about 7 months into treatment, she had another lymph node in her neck removed that had metastasized melanoma in it. Since it was removed in September 2023, the oncologist recommended we "watch and wait" to see if it comes back. We have been adamantly searching for ways to keep it from returning! She is doing as much as she can from home but we aren't able to give her the extent of what she needs. Melanoma is a very aggressive cancer and we could use as much help as possible understanding how to get her body in a position to heal itself. That's why we are trying to get her to Oasis Of Hope in Mexico. It's a world class cancer facility that uses traditional and holistic therapies together to get the best possible outcome. It’s a 3 week program where she can stay and get therapies, many of which aren’t available in the US. It will help with the supplies to bring home to continue the therapies and travel expenses.

The journey has been a heavy financial burden for our family and the cancer facility is not covered by insurance. So we are reaching out to family, friends, and our community to see if we can get the funds to send her to the Oasis of Hope. I understand that not everyone will be able to help financially, we would still love your prayers during this time. We know that unless the Lord builds the house, the workers labor in vain. We want to be guided by God every step of the way. We know that he makes a way for us and we are completely dependent on Him!
