UPDATE!!
Today 8/16/23 I met with my surgeon at KU. They have made the decision that a HIPEC surgery is the best option for me to be NED. Before hand I have to finish my last four rounds of chemotherapy that make me very ill. But I have no doubt that I can do it. October 4th will be my last round of this chemotherapy. September 11th I will be going in for an exploratory surgery (Laboscopy) to see where all my cancer is and how much left is. Then I will have the big HIPEC surgery November 6th!! This surgery entails my stomach being removed, my ovaries and uterus being removed (meaning unfortunately Blaire will be our only baby) and maybe other organs as well. Then he will remove any and all cancer he can see. After that he will go in and put tubes in my stomach that are connected to a machine then close me up with the tubes then for the next 90 minutes there will be hot chemotherapy pumped into my body. Once the 90 minutes is up they open me back up and remove the tubes and close me up. This surgery is anywhere from 6-9 hours long. With all that being said this is a very long serious surgery that will require 3-6 months of recovery. Therefore Jaron will need to take sometime off to be home and help me & Blaire. We are thinking about a month to a month and a half of missed work. So if you could please donate to our go fund me to help pay our bills during this time off or even just share that would be greatly appreciated. We love each and everyone of you and I am so excited to be CANCER FREE one day in the near future. Thank you for all the continued prayers.
