Jessica's family travel costs

Many friends have asked how they can help support our dear friend Jessica in the wake of her father's death. Jessica, her daughter, and her co-parent all are having suddenly to book travel between Ohio and California both during Roger's hospital stay and for the upcoming funeral--made extra expensive by current high plane ticket prices. The most immediate and meaningful way we can ease stress and strain on the family is to defray these unexpected costs.

**Update: Many Columbus folks have asked about providing meals upon Jess's return to Ohio. Because there is so much uncertainty around travel, and because some return to domestic normalcy will be desirable at by the time Jess for sure will be back, we are suggesting prepaid giftcards for Clintonville takeout/delivery spots (e.g. Lavash, Cornerstone...). These can be more flexibly deployed at pinch points where meal preparation seems burdensome rather than a positive return to routine. Alternately, feel free simply to add funds here: excess cash not needed for travel can be put towards takeout.
