Hi, my name is Jess,

I am raising money to support my Explorer Belt expedition to Norway and Sweden in July 2026. My first fundraising activity will be to run the Portsmouth Coastal Waterside half marathon on Sunday 21st Dec 2025.

The Explorer Belt is an exciting and challenging expedition offered through The Scouts, designed to help young people develop independence, resilience, teamwork, and leadership skills. During the expedition, we will travel across Scandinavia, navigating and working as a team while immersing ourselves in a new culture and environment.

Part of the challenge is raising the money ourselves towards the cost of the expedition.

This expedition is being run by Hampshire Explorer Scouts and will cost approximately £1,200, which covers travel, accommodation, equipment, training, and expedition costs.

Taking part in the Explorer Belt will be an incredible opportunity for personal growth and will also strengthen my university applications by allowing me to demonstrate important life skills such as problem-solving, communication, and self-motivation.
