Jessica’s Memorial Fund

Hi, my name is Kayla, Jessica’s oldest sister. Last week she went to the emergency room for tingling/numbing in her left arm and leg. After multiple scans it had been determined that she had a lesion near the cerebellum in her brain. She was admitted to ORMC for treatment. The doctors surgically removed what they have now deemed as a cancerous tumor on March 8th. That surgery went well. Over night she started to have swelling in her brain which put pressure on her brain stem causing a stroke. The early morning on March 9th she was placed on life support. Shortly after they took her back to surgery to relieve that pressure, place a drain and make room for swelling. Unfortunately, she did not regain consciousness. Her body went into basically a natural coma and she had no brain activity during every check the nurses performed. After a call from her doctor that evening, we all rushed back to ORMC to be with her. Our family made the tough decision to take her off of life support and let her go peacefully as she would not have wanted to have a machine keep her alive.

This has all happened so fast that our family was not prepared for financially, let alone mentally. There will be medical bills, the cost of services, and any loose ends that we will have to tie up. Every donation and share will be much appreciated.

Our family is completely devastated losing Jessica. She was such a bright light in everyone’s life. As everyone knows, the 4 Randall girls had a bond like no other and things will never be the same without her.
