I was diagnosed with advanced uterine cancer in late September to the utter shock of friends, family and co-workers. Never did I ever think I would be facing the big C. I cannot think of the words to express the feelings that went through me when the doctor's broke the news to my family and me, but I do know I have to perservere. There are masses as large as grapefruits that have taken over my uterus and have encroached into my bladder, potentially jeapordizing the function of my bladder making it likely that it may have to be removed. For an otherwise healthy 29-year old woman, this is an unusual and rare diagnosis.

I am currently undergoing a grueling set of chemo treatments which are proving to be my only hope in preserving my bladder and erradicating the disease. Any assistance that can be offered during this time is greatly appreciated.

It is my aim to use the monies collected to pay for my medical expsenses. Excess shall be donated back to other cancer charities.

If there is anything I have learned during this experience is that it is so easy or a love one to be affected. Please take care of yourselves and get screened often!
