Jessica and Sean's Medical fund
Donation protected
Early Saturday morning Jessica and Sean were t-boned in Sean's car by a drunk driver who ran through a red light in down town Denver. Sean, who was driving, was blessed to only have gotten a broken arm, however Jessica and another friend in the back seat were not so fortunate. Jessica's head hit the back windshield and she had to get 5 staples in her head, as well as fracturing her vertabraes C1-C4. C5 was hanging by a thread and she was rushed to Denver health to have emergency surgery. The nuerosurgeon spent over 5 hours removing her C5 vertabrae and replacing it with a metal plate. Jessica came through the surgery wonderfully, but has a very long road of recovery ahead of her. She is still unable to do any weight bearing and has no use of her left arm. The doctors are optimistic that with time and lots of hard work she will be able to regain full mobility. We are SO very grateful for the positive news, however we know what this will mean for Jessica and Sean finacially as they try to recover over the next weeks and months ahead. Jessica will absolutly not be able to work at all until her neck is stable and very limited after that depending on how her feeling and range of motion is coming back. This money will help them stay afloat with rent, bills, and expenses for the next 6 weeks until we have a better understanding of where Jessica is with her recovery. Thank you everyone for all the prayers, loving words, phone calls and texts. It has given both Jessica and Sean the motivation to keep moving forward. God Bless!
