Jessica's Transplant Journey

Jessica is starting the process of preparing to be on the list for kidney and pancreas transplant. Due to the state her kidneys are in now, she has started dialysis. Jessica has three dialysis treatments a week, each treatment is 3 1/2 hours long. 

Dustin (Jessica's husband) and Jessica also drive to Memphis twice a month to prepare for her placement on the transplant list. The drive to Memphis is two hours. Once her transplant is ready (fingers crossed soon after being put on the list!), she will stay in the hospital for one week. Her follow up appointments in Memphis will start at once a week, twice a week, then once a month. 

This hopeful, stressful journey has just begun. Although Jessica and Dustin have insurance, this is still a very expensive process. On top of medical bills there is gas money, hotel, etc.  If you are in a position to donate, please consider! If you are not, I know Jessica appreciates messages of support, humor, and love!
