Jessica Ward’s Memorial Fund

My name is Kara June and I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my best friend, Jessica, with the sincere hope of rallying support for her family during this incredibly difficult time. All donations will go directly towards Jessica’s funeral arrangements, and any remaining money will be directly donated to the local Humane Society on her behalf.

Jessica Gail Ward, 32, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She was born on May 27, 1992 in Bedford, Virginia.

Left to cherish Jessica’s memory are her mother, Wendy Westmoreland and her husband- who was another father to Jessica, Mark Westmoreland of Myrtle Beach & her biological father, Jeff Ward, also of Myrtle Beach. Jessica also leaves her beloved dog and her ‘child’, Harley; brothers, Jeffrey W. Ward, Jr. and wife, Carly Ward, Jacob Ward Westmoreland and wife, Brianna Haskins & Mark Westmoreland, III and wife Gabby Westmoreland; grandmother, Mae Francis Westmoreland & grandmother, Wanda Hutton; aunt, Lorretta Stanley; best friend, Katelynn Wiggins; and was an aunt and superhero to 3 beautiful babes, Willow, Rylann & Brixton.

Jessica is reunited in passing with an army of loved ones but will be especially greeted by her grandmother and namesake, Linda Gail Ward.

Jessica was a hardworking woman with a heart of gold and a zest for life. She worked in the restaurant and hospitality industry for many years but her true passion in life was her pets and taking care of animals. Jessica was listed as one of the Top Caregivers on Rover.com, where she was a helpful house-sitter and helped take care of numerous pets. In her free time, Jessica loved music! She could be found listening to her favorite artists, and singing and dancing along to her favorite songs. Above all else, Jessica loved her family with her whole heart. She will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Jessica’s life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 11:30am at Heavenly Grace Ministries Church, 5288 Peachtree Rd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29588.
