Jessica Stubler is in great financial need.  Bottom line first:  her husband will stop at nothing to destroy her and take her kids away, and she needs a lawyer but can't afford one.  She's lived under this tyranny for years, and now it's time to put it to an end.  

Back story now.  She has been married for about 10 years.  Ever since having kids, she set aside opportunities to make money and instead be a stay-at-home mom and home-school the kids.  For a large part of her marriage, she's been psychologically abused, and her husband never took much interest in the kids.  This is from a man that claims to be a Christian, no less, and does his best to portray that image to the outside world.  She always tried to make the best of it she could, attempting to live out an example as a Christian wife.  She always wanted to see the best in him, pressing on for counseling, never giving up.  In spite of all the difficulties, what she has accomplished with her children is truly remarkable!  

The situation has escalated during the past year.  Behind her back, he began working on plans to ditch her and attempt to have the kids taken away.  As these plans unfolded, he began withholding money by depositing his paycheck in his own bank account.  She was forced to take 2 jobs of her own just to live and feed the family, while at the same time continuing to home school the kids and take care of them while he was at his job.  He's devised other schemes to cheat her out of money as well.   Finally, a few weeks ago, he tried to have a restraining order enacted against her.  He claimed the kids' lives were in danger and that she has multiple personalities among other psychological disorders (ironically this better describes him!).  Thankfully, the courts immediately threw it out, as they saw through all the garbage.   Unfortunately, for now, she must continue to live under the same roof, as she has no other option.

Not surprisingly, he recently requested a divorce from her.  Obviously, this is in her interest, but she needs a lawyer to protect herself and her kids.  Because of his habit of cheating her out of money, and because he has well-connected family members, he has a lawyer.  As such, he will do everything he can to destroy her, and she needs good representation to prevent that.  The man is completely unfit to act as a father, so this is just as much for the kids as it is for her. 

Jessica has been a dear friend to us for 9+ years now, and on several occasions has cared for our children for days at a time (during hospital stays, a trip to Miami to look for a home...). She has been a loyal, devoted, and incredible mother to her children, and family friend to us.  It’s time to chip in and help her fight for her children and help secure a more stable life for her and her kids.  

Bottom line, she can't afford a lawyer and needs help.  She will need contributions quickly to get this process moving.
