Hi, my name is Jessica Cochran, and I am humbly asking for help and prayers during one of the most difficult seasons of my life.
About a year ago, I developed a heart condition that has now been identified as rare and life-threatening, placing me at immediate risk of sudden cardiac arrest. Since then, I have undergone numerous treatment attempts and one heart surgery, which unfortunately was unsuccessful. I am now facing a second, medically necessary heart surgery in Austin, Texas, on January 5, 2026. This surgery cannot be delayed.
I will need to travel to Austin on January 4 for required pre-operative testing, with surgery scheduled the following day. After surgery, I am expected to remain hospitalized for at least 48 hours before being released to return home.
Throughout this journey, I am holding tightly to my faith and trusting God’s plan, even when the path feels overwhelming. By doctors’ orders, I have been unable to work for nearly four months, which has caused significant financial hardship and many changes in my life. Due to the seriousness of my condition, I am not able to travel alone and must bring a caregiver with me. This means purchasing two round-trip plane tickets, along with covering essential travel expenses related to surgery and recovery.
Because of ongoing medical challenges and financial strain, I am unable to afford the cost of airfare on my own. Asking for help does not come easily—I have always preferred to be the one giving rather than receiving. However, I truly believe God places people in our lives to help carry one another’s burdens, and I am trusting Him through this step of faith.
All funds raised will go directly toward:
- Two round-trip plane tickets to Austin, Texas
- Essential travel expenses needed for surgery and recovery
- Hotel cost and ride share cost while in Texas
If you are unable to donate, I completely understand. I would be deeply grateful for your prayers and for sharing this fundraiser. Every prayer, every share, and every act of kindness means more to me than I can express.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for being part of my journey. I am trusting God for healing, strength, and safe travels, and I am incredibly thankful for everyone who stands with me during this time.
