Jessica Joiner-Escott Memorial

With deep sadness and heavy hearts, we mourn the loss of Jessica Joiner-Escott and her younger sister Jaime Joiner. Their passing is a sudden and tragic end to a life full of kindness, love and compassion for others. Words will never fully express Jess's impact on us, yet we are grateful for the memories we share and that her light shined so brightly on everyone around her.

Jess was a friend to all and a kind and generous soul who brought so much joy to everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her. Jess was a wonderful ceramicist and worked as a ceramics teacher and office staff at the Community Center of La Canada Flintridge. She also taught a gardening class to preschoolers at the LCFCC Preschool. More recently, she was a valued team member at Valley County Water District in Baldwin Park. Jess served as an Administrative Services Assistant working on education, public outreach and conservation projects. She was hands-on in many of their projects, always willing to help wherever she was needed. Jess will be missed by her coworkers, friends and everyone she interacted with at the organizations she contributed to.

Jess was one of those people that you met and immediately loved and wanted to be around. She was such a caring and loving person and always wanted to take care of others. She loved her family, and was crazy about her husband Eric and his kids Hazel and Walter. Not to mention all the fur babies she saved! Words can't begin to describe the immense feeling of loss and sorrow her family is experiencing.

In her honor and with love, we want to continue her caring nature and help her family in their time of need. We have started a Go Fund Me Page to help with her final arrangements and help her family move forward in their time of grief. Hopefully, this will relieve some of their financial stress. Please donate whatever you can to this fund in her honor if you are so inclined. We are paying this forward, Jess, in your name, to care for your family, who you love so dearly. All who knew her would argue that you couldn’t meet a better person, and they would be right.

We know that Jess loved you all. Thank you again for your support during this time.

In memoriam and with love, we thank you.
