Hello, my name is Jessica, and I am currently fundraising to support a once in a lifetime trip to Borneo. This expedition is being arranged through Camps International and we are due to travel in July 2026. Throughout this incredible experience, I will be doing voluntary community work whilst also exploring the pure natural beauty of the rainforest. During the four-week expedition, I will contribute to local conservation work, such as several projects to improve facilities for the rapidly growing population of Bongkud. Other potential initiatives include constructing a youth centre, improving the drainage system and establishing a community farming programme to improve food security and encourage self-sufficiency within the village.

 

However, to get to Borneo, I need your help. The trip is very expensive, costing roughly £5000, which we are strongly encouraged to raise ourselves. Therefore, I plan to complete a series of fundraising activities, such as the Wirral Way 15-mile walk, climbing Mount Snowdon and other similar challenges (whilst also studying towards my Summer GCSEs).
