Hi, my name is Rocky Rizzo, and with a heavy and broken heart I share that our dear friends Jessica and Lance Jones, beloved members of our community, suffered the unimaginable loss of their 2-month-old son, Matthew Thomas, yesterday, December 11th 2025.

His passing was sudden and unexpected, leaving their family in deep shock and with overwhelming grief.

Matthew was born on Oct 6th, 2025, alongside his twin brother Michael in London, ON. They spent the 1st half of their lives in the NICU.

Jessica is a full-time mom and homemaker, caring for their 3 additional children, and Lance works hard to provide for their family. They have always carried themselves with quiet strength, faith, dignity, and humility. However, this tragedy has placed an incredibly heavy weight on them financially, on top of their already limited resources, and in addition to unpaid time off, are now facing the burden of funeral expenses — something no young parent should ever have to prepare for their young child, especially at this festive time of year.

Jessica and Lance are a young, faith-filled family, and this tragedy has placed a tremendous weight on them emotionally, as you can imagine.
