Jessica and Carlos's IVF and Surrogacy Journey

In January 2009, Carlos and Jessica met virtually, through a social media platform. 

Carlos lived in NJ and Jessica was fighting an immigration case in Guatemala after being deported from NJ at the age of 20 in 2007. After two years of navigating and surpassing heartbreak, the trauma of being held in detention, and mental health issues caused by her deportation, she was able to be reunited with her family and friends back in NJ in 2009. 

In June 2009, Carlos and Jessica finally met in person and this encounter sparked their relationship. Their love grew for one another as they started to create everlasting memories. Carlos and Jessica have worked rigorously and passionately to create a loving life with one another. They enjoy the little things in life, such as going out for spontaneous weekend adventures, hiking, or just staying home watching a good movie. 

After 7 years, Carlos proposed to Jessica and they were married on November 17, 2017.


Over the past five years, Jessica and Carlos have dreamed of creating a family of their own. 

Unfortunately, the natural route has been unsuccessful, and they have had to seek external medical support to help with unexplained infertility issues. They have already gone through three different infertility doctors who tried multiple expensive procedures. This not only brought on extensive medical costs, but it caused a lot of emotional stress due to the unknown outcomes. 

By January 2019, they decided to give it one more shot with a new doctor. Within four months of numerous doctor visits and hospital procedures, they found out that their dreams of becoming parents would be taken away. On April 16th, 2019, test results showed Jessica had endometrial cancer. As a result, in a matter of less than two weeks, Jessica had to undergo a hysterectomy. This surgery required the removal of her uterus and fallopian tubes for the sake of her health and overall wellbeing, sealing the fate that Jessica will never be able to carry her own child. 

As devastating as the news was to receive and experience, Jessica’s doctor was able to save her ovaries giving Jessica and Carlos a new and unexpected opportunity down the road.

It has been over a year and a half since her surgery and their LAST and the only option to start their own family is through surrogacy. 

The severity of their infertility case has left this strong couple and doctors with one last option: committing to an extremely expensive treatment plan that must begin immediately because of procedural timelines. This urgency will ensure that their dream of having a biological child comes to fruition. 

With their faith in God, the help of their friends, family, and anyone who is touched by this story, let’s make their dream of becoming parents manifest. Their new journey will begin on October 1st 2020 with an expensive IVF treatment with the support of a surrogate mother. La siguiente historia es de Jessica y Carlos García y porque necesitan su ayuda:

 
En el 2007 Carlos vivía en Nueva Jersey y Jessica estaba peleando un caso de inmigración en Guatemala, después de haber sido deportada  de NJ a la edad de 20 años. Después de 2 años de navegar esa angustia y trauma de ser detenida por inmigración,  ella pudo reunirse con su familia y amistades en Nueva Jersey en el 2009.

 En enero 2009 Carlos y Jessica se conocieron virtualmente a través de una plataforma de redes sociales. Luego en junio 2009 Carlos y Jessica, finalmente se conocieron en persona y comenzaron una relación. El amor entre ellos crecío y juntos lograron crear una vida exitosa. 

 Después de 7 años, Carlos le propuso matrimonio a Jessica y se casaron el 17 de noviembre del 2017. Hoy, Carlos y Jessica disfrutan de las pequeñas cosas de la vida, como salir a vivir aventuras espontáneas un fin de semana, ir a caminar, o simplemente quedarse en casa viendo una buena película.

Durante los últimos 5 años, Carlos y Jessica han soñado crear su familia propia. Desafortunadamente, la ruta natural no ha sido exitosa y han tenido que buscar atención médica para ayuda con una infertilidad inexplicable. Han visitado tres diferentes médicos de infertilidad que le han hecho múltiples procedimientos costosos, pero sólo causó mucho estrés emocional debido a resultados desconocidos. En enero 2019, decidieron intentarlo una vez más con un nuevo médico, pero 4 meses despues, entre muchas visitas al médico y hospital se enteraron de que la noticia de ser padres sería imposible. En el 16 de abril de 2019, los resultados de un examen mostraron que Jessica tenía cáncer de endometrio. Como resultado, en menos de dos semanas, Jessica tuvo que someterse a una histerectomía. Esta cirugía requirió la extirpación de su útero y trompas de Falopio por el bien de su salud y su bienestar general, sellando el destino de que Jessica nunca podrá embarazarse y tener sus propio hijos.

 
Por más devastadora que fue esta noticia y experiencia, el médico pudo salvar sus ovarios dándole a Jessica y a Carlos una nueva oportunidad.

Han pasado más de un año y medio desde su cirugía y su ÚLTIMA y única opción para formar su propia familia es a través de la subrogación.

Su nuevo viaje comienza el 1 de Octubre, y van a  empezar un costoso tratamiento de FIV con el apoyo de una madre sustituta. Su amable donación se destinará a cubrir todos sus gastos médicos de este procedimiento y a hacer realidad las esperanzas y los sueños de la vida de Jessica y Carlos.
