Jesse's Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer Journey
Donation protected
UPDATE: 7/26/24
After 3 weeks of headaches, Jesse’s oncologist decided it would be best to get an emergency MRI. Unfortunately, the MRI revealed a 3cm tumor on the cerebellum. Jesse was admitted to the ER right away and a team of neurosurgeons and oncologists reviewed her case to figure out the best plan for her. She received an emergency craniotomy to remove the tumor on 7/29/24. The surgery and removal were successful, but will leave Jesse out of work with a week long recovery in ICU + minimum of 6 weeks of rest before she can go back to work. We are continuing to raise funds to support Jesse in her time of need, as well as to cover costs of her continued medical bills.
Hi! My name is Jesse, and I was diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer on February 28, 2023. I am 30 years old, and to receive a lifelong diagnosis like this has been absolutely devastating. By the time I was diagnosed the cancer had already spread to my lymph nodes, thyroid, sacrum & pelvic bone. We started chemotherapy as fast as possible in March and I will be on my third round mid-May out of 6 initial rounds. Since the cancer has already spread, surgery is off the table for now and my best hope is that my scans come back clear of cancer after these first 6 rounds of chemo. However, my cancer is HER2+ so it grows extremely fast & I will be on HER2 medication invtravaneously every three weeks for the rest of my life. This is alot to take on at just 30 years old, especially financially, knowing this will be a huge expense in my life forever. I am creating this GoFundMe to help with medical bills & living expenses.
