It is with a heavy heart that we share Jesse has yet again began another battle against cancer. Thankfully, the team of Drs. at UofM were able to catch it much earlier this time around. We were hopeful that would mean the battle wouldn't be as hard this time around, but unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case.
Jesse was 3 the 1st time he was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma on March 22, 2020. He was just shy under 2 years cancer free when they diagnosed him again this past June.
He has just finished his 4th round of chemo. 3 more rounds are scheduled and a long road of recovery ahead of him.
His 7th birthday was yesterday. The day should have been filled with joy as he ran around and played with his cousins and siblings. Instead we gathered around his bed side and helped him open his birthday presents that he was too weak to open and wrapped up his cake that he was too nauseous to eat.
I do believe in the power of prayer and I shared with him yesterday how he too has the authority to pray and how we all will be lifting him up in prayer for complete healing. We also promised him that as soon as he is better we will celebrate him turning 7 again so he can eat as much cake as he wants, rip open those presents, and run around with siblings and cousins.
If you could please add Jesse and my sister to your prayers and if you feel led to donate it would be so greatly appreciated. My sister has not been able to work since he has begun treatment again and it does't look like she will be able to return anytime soon.
