Hey Everyone! So as some of you already know, I was recently diagnosed with a rare brain tumor. Due to the complicated location of the tumor on my brain stem, I have opted to do surgery in September at UCSD. They do the most surgeries in the country for this particular type of tumor. They have also given me a 50% chance of saving my hearing and facial nerve as other hospitals have said they cannot save my hearing. My recovery will not be easy as I will need physical therapy to walk without assistance, temporary facial paralysis and possible loss of hearing. I am asking for help to cover medical expenses as my insurance deductible is very large (the bills are already coming in), the expenses for me to travel to California as I will have to stay there for at least 2 weeks, and my cost of living expenses here in Bmore as I won’t be able to work after surgery for a few months.
