Jesse Ramirez Medical Relief

Update:

Jesse was released from KRMC with the goal of outpatient dialysis. Within 2 hours he was called and instructed to go to CHI emergency room. His kidney and bone biopsy confirmed he has multiple myeloma cancer, a rare form that only 1-2% of myeloma patients have. His labs were critical again and he needed more intervention.

Jesse is currently doing dialysis three times a week and plasma freeze exchange twice a week. These procedures take an average of 5 hours a day and leave Jesse exhausted. He has a long road ahead of him with daily medical procedures, blood draws, doctor follow ups, and with his new cancer diagnosis, he will carry that load as well. Thanks for helping carry Jesse and LaDonna’s burden. Seeing Jesse and LaDonna today and hearing how appreciative they are during this difficult time makes my heart further want to help ease any financial stress during their time of need. Jesse and LaDonna Ramirez need our support. Jesse is currently hospitalized at Kearney Regional Medical Center. Doctors are working hard to save his only kidney -- he lost his other kidney in May 2021 due to cancer.

Jesse has been struggling with his health since August 2023. After four blood transfusions and multiple hospitalizations, he's now awaiting another cancer diagnosis from Heartland Hematology and Oncology. Jesse and LaDonna need us to rally around them, to come together and support them as they embark on the long road ahead.

Jesse and LaDonna have been married for 17 years. Jesse is known for his love of cooking for others, being a hard worker, a loving husband and father, and always having a smile on his face. He has served his community through working at the Buffalo County Jail, Target and is now working at the Veterans' Home.

The money from this GoFundMe will be used for medical bills and unpaid time off from work. It will allow Jesse and LaDonna a little financial peace of mind during one of the most trying times of their lives.
