Honoring the Life and Legacy of Jesse D. Hernandez Sr.
We are heartbroken to share the passing of our beloved father, Jesse D. Hernandez Sr. A man of remarkable generosity, unwavering integrity, and quiet strength, he gave selflessly of his time, talents, and resources to anyone in need. His legacy is not only written in the decades of hard work he poured into his trade, but also in the countless lives he touched along the way.
Jesse was a proud member of the Amistad Club, a local organization dedicated to providing scholarships to those in need. As well as Plumbers & Pipefitters Local Union 286, where he dedicated over 50 years of service. As one of the early members of both organizations, he helped build not only infrastructure but community—mentoring younger generations and embodying a spirit of service that defined who he was. Jesse was a pioneer for Latinos and minorities in the building trades and lead the way for many others.
In recent days, many friends, coworkers, and loved ones have reached out, asking how they can help or contribute in his memory. While our family is not in financial need, we have created this GoFundMe as a space for those who wish to give or honor Jesse’s life in a tangible way. Any contributions received will go toward honoring his memory and legacy—whether through memorial arrangements or just to help offset cost.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love, your support, and your prayers during this time. Your kindness has reminded us just how deeply our father was loved—and how wide his impact truly reached.
With gratitude,
The Family of Jesse D. Hernandez Sr.
