Hi everyone,

My name is Erica, and I’m raising funds to help my amazing son, Jesse, go to Science Camp with his 6th-grade classmates this year. He’s been talking about this camp every single day, and it would mean the world to him to be able to go!

Jesse is a kind, bright, and resilient young boy who has already been through so much in his short life. He truly deserves this opportunity to have fun, learn, and create unforgettable memories with his friends.

He’s been trying to raise the money himself by selling chocolates, but unfortunately, only $24 from each box sold actually goes toward his camp fund. We’ve already had a generous $50 donation to help him out — but again, only part of that went directly to his goal. So now, we’re giving GoFundMe a try to help bridge the gap.

The total cost of the trip includes:

Camp fees $475

Warm clothing and boots (since it’s in Big Bear and it will be cold!) $200

We’re a single-income family right now. My husband is working hard to keep us afloat, and I’ve been searching for work for over 7 months. While he covers the essentials to keep us housed, there’s just no room in the budget for extras like this camp.

Even a small donation would bring us one step closer to making this dream a reality for Jesse. We’re hoping to reach the full goal, but even half would be such a blessing — we’ll do everything we can to cover the rest.

This would be Jesse’s first time going somewhere like this, and as a family, we’ve never had the chance to travel to Big Bear. It would be an incredible and unforgettable experience for him!
