On March 5th 2020 Jesse was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called T-Cell Leukemia. Jesse is 8 years young and fighting through this like a true hero. On March 4th we found a mass on Jesse's lower neck, his lymph nodes were severely swollen and by the the 5th almost every lymph node in his body was enlarged and swollen and causing him pain. Then the results came back and we had the worst news any family could ever get; that he had leukemia... He was in the hospital for 2 weeks straight for his first stage of hard chemotherapy. After being released his long 4 year battle began. He is going in 3 to 5 times a week for treatment and blood work to make sure the cancer isn't spreading. He has had 7 lumbar puncture's(spinal tap) of chemo straight into his spine. And this little boy is still smiling through everything like a champ! But the financial toll on this single income family has been a tough one. They have put 28,621 miles on they're only car sense March, 3,380 miles just in July. They have had to use they're savings on car repairs, gas to get from Boothbay Harbor to Scarborough(Maine) which is 1 hour and 14 minutes every 3 to 5 days, and for medicines that the insurance is having issues covering. They have also had to put extra money towards special foods for Jesse because the chemo has made his taste and smell change and the chemotherapy he is on now made him go into anaphylactic shock therefore they can't do that treatment anymore and now they are trying to find another treatment but if they can't find one they have to do radiation on Jesse. Which is even worse on his body and what they want to avoid. So far this family just can't catch a break... The money raised will be put towards gas, car repairs, housing and hospital stays, medications when needed and food his stomach will let him hold down. Every cent donated is extremely appreciated and our family thanks you so very much for the help you have given us. Every penny counts!
