Hope for the Bowen Family

We are raising money for a wonderful woman, mother, and wife who went in for her 5 year check up hoping to get an "all clear" and instead found out she had a local recurrence in a lymph node of the same stage 3 breast cancer that she was originally diagnosed with in April of 2011. Because this is an aggressive cancer, they have made the decision to have surgery immediately to remove the infected lymph node as well as the implants she received during her breast reconstruction following a bilateral mastectomy. This unexpected surgery and recovery will require her to take leave from work for an extended period of time. While she is hoping to have enough shared leave at work to cover her absence, there will still be medical bills and other expenses related to recovery. Any funds raised will go towards those unexpected expenses that arise so that the family can focus on her healing.
