Hi Friends, Family, and Community!

 

I am looking to raise some money in anticipation of my upcoming Top Surgery on May 18th, 2022. After a couple of years of struggling to secure insurance I finally have a great Dr and am getting my surgery done for free not too far from home! I also have amazingly supportive friends that I know will help care for me as I heal.

 

That said, I am currently living paycheck to paycheck with no savings or sick days/paid medical leave to prepare for (at least) 2 weeks that I will need to take off from work. I am asking for help to cover the cost of my living necessities for June so that I can rest/heal in May with the knowledge that I have my rent ($1200) and bills/food ($800) covered the following month.

 

If you don't understand this procedure, I am transgender/non-binary and I have gender dysphoria. Having a flat chest will help me greatly with my mental health, confidence, and overall alignment with myself. I've been on testosterone for nearing 3 years, which has already done wonders for me. Not all trans people medically transition but for me it has been life saving. This next step is crucial to my happiness and comfortability in my own skin.
