Running Leeds Marathon to Support Mind UK and The Peel
Donation protected
Both myself and many of the people I love have struggled/struggles with their mental health. I am running Leeds Marathon, yes 42km eek, on the 11th of May to fundraise for Mind, the UK's leading mental health charity, in a way to give back, and to hopefully help others the way I was helped when I needed it. Mind provides crucial aid, fights stigma, campaigns for better mental health services, and makes sure no one has to face their struggles alone. Their work is life changing, and I’m proud to play even a small part in helping them continue that mission. Everybody deserves support and care when they’re struggling.
I would, however, like to donate 15% of the money raised to The Peel, a young people's mental health charity of which my best friend's dad was a trustee. He tragically passed in December last year, and to do this in his memory would be an honour.
My training journey has been a bit of a rollercoaster but I know my 17 year old self would be very proud, I’ve worked prettyyy hard for this. I know this target is high, but any and all donations would very appreciated and will go towards an amazing cause. Thank you x
