Hi, my name is Georgia Wilson. I’m raising money for my best friend, Jess Frost.
For those of you that know Jess, you know she’s a ray of sunshine that lights up every room she walks in. She’s the kindest, most thoughtful, caring person you’ve ever met.
She has been dealt the toughest cards of late. So, I’m hoping to raise some funds to help soften the blow.

On Friday 14 March, at 37 weeks pregnant with her first baby, Jess received the devastating news that she had inflammatory breast cancer.
A rare and aggressive cancer that required immediate treatment and is only symptomatic at stage 3 or 4. With little information beyond the initial diagnosis, she was told she’d need to give birth early on Monday 17 March, and commence chemo the following Friday.
Jess turned 33 on Saturday 22 March.
She is a healthy, fit and active young woman with no history of breast cancer.
This was utterly earth shattering to Jess, her husband Damien, and all her loved ones.
But she’s determined to take this in her stride and raise awareness to encourage everyone to get checked, regularly.
To make matters worse, her beautiful baby George was taken into NICU after birth due to fluid on his lungs, a complication of the early delivery.
With a new baby in the NICU Jess needed to then push ahead with more tests, a MRI and anagram followed by a PET scan and to see if/where the cancer had spread.
The agony of the unknown for a brand new mother who was unable to see or hold her baby for two days after birth.
Finally, some good news. The cancer hadn’t spread.
This felt like winning the lotto (which is somewhat ironic considering the number of devastating blows to date).
But she has a long road to recovery.
Four and half months of intensive chemotherapy followed by mastectomy. All while grappling with being a new mother.
Just 11 days after giving birth, she had her first chemo session. A gruelling 9-hour session to load the body for her fight ahead. This is the new the norm for Jess with another 5 sessions planned.
And beyond the mental and physical strain, there is also an immense amount of financial pressure.
Thousands, if not tens of thousands of dollars in medical bills. All while being on maternity leave and not earning an income.
This is pressure a young mother and her family should not need to endure on top of what they’re already dealing with.
So please, donate what you can to provide some relief to this incredible young woman and her beautiful family.
Every dollar counts.
Please also share it so we can raise awareness of this relatively unknown type of cancer that’s so prevalent in young women.
PS you’ve got this, Jess.
“While this news has been overwhelming, I’m choosing to face it with hope, strength and determination. Cancer may have changed my path, but it will not define me. Most of all, our beautiful baby George has been a source of endless strength and light during this journey. His love reminds me every day of what I’m fighting for.”
