Jess' Brain Surgery and Recovery
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
Sharing the below message on behalf of Jess.
After weeks of some strange symptoms, and a barrage of tests, Jess had an MRI done which showed a suspected grade two glioma tumor in her right temporal lobe. This was not great news, of course, but there has been a lot of hope in the subsequent visits. The tumor appears to be slow moving and in a good area of the brain to perform surgery. After the surgery, we will be able to biopsy the tumor, and determine our course of action from there. She is incredibly grateful to have health insurance through SAG-AFTRA but will be unable to work in the weeks leading up to the surgery and in recovering from the surgery.
Currently, Jess and a loving group of family and friends are going through the process of finding the right care team before moving forward with surgery. This surgery will likely be set in the next few weeks. We would like to keep you updated on Jess' journey here.
We are hoping to crowd-fund to help Jess and her family with medical bills and the cost of living for this first half of 2024, as Jess hopefully comes out of this treatment and looks back on it as a (sizable) hurdle in her long, long life.
Medical costs will include, but may not be limited to: the surgery itself, potential physical therapy, future scans, and follow up care.
Non medical costs include cost of living while Jess is in recovery and unable to work.
We will be keeping you posted here, every step of the way. Thank you in advance for all the love and support you've shown Jess. We are getting through this together.
