On January 20th, Jesi Stracham became the second person to receive the InVivo Therapeutic's Neuro-Spinal Scaffold (See video below) after the motorcycle she was riding was hit by a car and left her paralyzed from the waist down. She sustained life threatening injuries and at times doctors were not sure she would make it. She has proven to be a fighter. Against all odds and with the assistance of this new technology, Jesi is determined to walk again. She has already show remarkable progress in a short time. Despite her injuries which have left her paralyzed from the waist down, Jesi's attitude is positive and inspirational. Words cannot capture her courage and optimism.
Physical therapy is extremely important to her recovery. She has learned through Jordan that the more you work (PT) the sooner you may see results. Unfortunately, her insurance only covers 20 visits.
The funds collected through this effort will be used to pay for significant medicalexpenses, and allow her the opportunity to focus exclusively on her recovery. Any contributions are greatly appreciated by Jesi and her family. No donation is too small.
