Hi everyone,

We’re reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for our beloved dog, Jersey. She needs urgent dental surgery next week due to a painful tooth issue that’s making it hard for her to eat, play, and enjoy life.

Soon after I got home from work on Thursday, August 7th, we noticed Jersey’s tongue was sticking out and wouldn’t go back in.

We took Jersey to the vet and paid out of pocket for the initial visit, exam, bloodwork, and medication to manage the pain temporarily. We found out that her K9 tooth had completely rotated getting her tongue stuck on it. Unfortunately, the vet confirmed that surgery is the only way to fix the problem and prevent it from getting worse. The procedure — including anesthesia, dental X-rays, and post-op care — will cost just over $1,100, which is more than we can manage alone right now.
