Jerrys Heart Surgery and Recovery

Hi, my name is Julie and I'm fundraising for my partner Jerome "Jerry" also known as "super handy man", and Troubadour. Many people know Jerry as a local musician who has been playing music for decades in various bands and lineups. Jerry is well known as super handyman, helping people for decades with home repairs, and pretty much fixing anything and everything that comes his way with his many talents as an electrician, and with home remodeling, cars, home repairs, etc. He is known for being a true gem when it comes to helping people even when there is no profit, or if someone can't pay fully or right away. He has always worked with people on what they can afford and always gives a discount to those who don't have much money to offer. Jerry helps his community any way he can and people in general. He is kind and appreciative of all people wherever he goes. He is a true warrior of light, passion, music, love, giving, sincerity, and joy. Those who know him well know everything's he's been through medically, physically, and emotionally throughout his life. He has already recovered from cancer, went through two heart surgeries already, and now we got the news that this surgery is coming sooner than expected. Almost a year ago, his checkup was great, so the next one got planned several months out. Unfortunately, he is now dealing with a second damaged heart valve. The surgery was originally set for Spring, but the doctors called and said he needs to be in January, because his condition is now dire. The whole situation is very emotional, sudden, and has left us with the reality that the time has come. Heart surgery takes 3 months or more to recover from before you can do anything as simple as lift 5 pounds. His job is very physical, so he will be out of work during recovery. This fundraiser is to cover expenses during recovery including rent, food, bills and the possibility that some medical services will need to be paid if not covered by insurance. The surgery is very risky now that two valves are damaged, opposed to one previously, and being his third heart surgery. Your help will ensure that he can recover stress free, which is crucial after such a surgery where his physical and emotional system is highly sensitive. Not having to worry about monthly expenses during recovery is going to help the process go as smoothly as possible. We hope that you find it in your hearts to help out someone who's known for always helping people selflessly, because he now needs the help himself.
