This morning at 12:11am, my father, Jerry Rucker, passed away from an unsurvivable brain injury after being hit by a vehicle while on a motorcycle. He had been going through a rough patch financially and his life insurance lapsed, and I am just finishing school and looking for a job, so I have no way to cover his final expenses.

Any help that any of our friends and family could extend to help cover his cremation and a memorial service would be a Godsend and greatly appreciated.

Cremation and death certificates are just under $1500. I'm still pricing places in the Mid-County area to hold his memorial service, but so far it is looking to be around $650-$700 to rent the place with a visitor book. If possible, I'd like to have a family/close friend celebration of his life following the memorial, so anything more than the cremation and service will be used for food/snacks/refreshments for that.
