Financial Support for Jerry & Debbie Vogelsberg
Donation protected
No one is truly ever prepared for the loss of a loved one.
This past spring, after experiencing some chronic pain and concerns, Jerry was diagnosed with lung cancer that had spread to his bones. With the assistance of the medical professionals, Jerry, Debbie, and family had the plan of attack with immunotherapy treatments and medications to manage pain.
However, this path of treatment was not able to come to fruition. Jerry experienced a significant change in his health and was admitted to the hospital on Labor Day. Medical professionals worked hard to try and stabilize and provide support for Jerry which included feeding tubes, ventilators, blood transfusions, dialysis, and more. Debbie, Amy, and Aaron have been by his side through much of this.
On Wednesday, October 4th the family decided to change the approach to include more quality of life and transition into hospice care. Jerry is still at the hospital, surrounded by his family.
For those who may not know, this family has gone through many trials this year. Jerry's oldest, Amy Abbott, was diagnosed and treated for Stage 3C colon cancer this past spring. Jerry was one of her biggest cheerleaders and Debbie assisting getting Amy too and from chemotherapy treatments.
Jerry remains faithful to God's plan and will. The family could use financial assistance to not only prepare for Jerry's passing but to ensure that Debbie (his beautiful bride of over 50 years) can remain side by side. The funds raised will go to support the purchase of a plot for both at Sacred of Mary in Boulder, CO. Funds will assist with the funeral services, casket, burial, and headstone.
Please continue to keep Jerry, Debbie, Amy, and Aaron in your prayers as they navigate new territory.
