ABOUT THE STORY

"Jerry" is a comedy short film written by Grant Davis and Mackenzie Dillon. The story opens on two roommates, Ben & Caleb, (who aren’t necessarily stoners, but not not stoners) having a smoke in their apartment when they get a knock on their door from their new neighbor, Amelia.

One thing leads to another, and she asks them to pet sit for her bearded dragon. Not to spoil anything, but something might go wrong. Someone might die. I don’t know. But I do know that it’s actually so short that if I give away any more of the plot, it’d literally be a spoiler. So please let that much satisfy your curiosity until the final film is ready. Thanks!

ABOUT THE CAST & CREW

Grant Davis is the Writer, Director, Actor, and Producer of “Jerry”, mainly because he enjoys making things significantly harder than they need to be.

He’s creating the project alongside his college friends and close collaborators, Mackenzie Dillon and Swen Richter, all SCAD graduates. From the outside, it may seem like the three of them are clinging to their college days. That is correct.

Grant is a Cannes Lion award-winning advertising copywriter, based in NYC currently working at Ogilvy (shoutout, love you guys). Making a short film has been his big goal for 2026, as he looks to get more experience under his fingernails in acting, directing, and screenwriting.

This marks his directorial debut.

Hell yeah.

Mackenzie Dillon is the Writer, Editor, and Producer for “Jerry”, and all-around salt-of-the-Earth human.

She is a proud SCAD grad from the Film & TV department, where she sharpened her expertise as an editor. She was also college roommates with Grant for 2 years, where they sharpened their expertise in ordering Panda Express every weekend. Some things never change.

She recently moved to NYC from the greater DC area, and now works as a Video Editor at Maesa. Mac is excited to continue making this passion project a reality and wants you to donate lots of money. Dig deep!

Swen Richter is the Director of Photography and Producer for “Jerry”, and a saint for putting up with Grant and Mac’s overthinking tendencies.

He hails from Seattle but is currently based in Pittsburgh working as a Creative Video Producer at Gecko. He is also SCAD grad from the Film & TV department and is a well-versed cinematographer and director.

In plain speak, that means he has a true knack for knowing where to point the camera and the technical bits that make the magic happen. It’s a lot more complicated than that. But just know he’s the best of the best.

Julian Walton is playing the role of “Caleb” in “Jerry” and is generally the life of the party in every room he enters.

In addition to acting, Julian weaponizes his creative spirit in the forms of singing, songwriting, rapping, and more. He is a Nashville native, and fun fact: went to high school with Grant, where his involvement in theater led him to being ranked the #1 high school actor by the Tennessee All-State Theater Association.

He currently lives in NYC, attending New York Audio Institute to further his education in music production, chasing his dream of being a recording artist. He anticipates releasing his debut album later this year, following the success of his 2025 debut EP.

Alessya Farrugia is playing the role of “Amelia” in “Jerry” and is pretty much the most beautiful person, inside and out, to ever grace the planet.

She is an established influencer and creator who has cultivated a strong following on TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and more. While known for beauty and inspirational content, Alessya has always been fascinated in expanding her creativity into acting. This project marks her official film debut.

She proudly hails from Toronto and frequently travels between there and NYC. Alessya is excited to step into the film world and bring a distinctly cheery Canadian energy to set.
