June 12, 2024. Please keep Connie And Jerry in your thoughts and prayers. Jerry was admitted to the hospital again today. He has been going downhill rapidly since last week. Sleeping a lot, eating next to nothing. He had his MRI today and it revealed that the tumor has grown. They will be stopping the chemotherapy and beginning hospice care at home in the next few days. The medical bills have been building up rapidly. I want to thank everyone who donated in the past few months. And I’m going to ask if you could possibly fit it into your budget again! The two of them have so much to contend with right now! Connie continues to worry about the Medical bills. It would be great if we could come together one more time! Please send them your love when you have an extra minute!❤️
If any of you know, Jerry, Rott, and Connie, you know that they would give you the shirt off their back! They are the most generous people I know! Recently, our dear friend, Jerry had started feeling a bit off. Headaches, crowds and noise bothered him. His dear wife, Connie took him into the doctor, and they kind of blew him off. Not offering any further testing. Thankfully, Connie, had the wherewithal to pursue her husband‘s issues! She would not write them off to general headaches. Now about six weeks out, Jerry was diagnosed with stage four Glioblastoma. It is a fast moving brain cancer. They were able to do surgery and take out a 1“ x 2“ tumor-(98%). He is going to be taking oral chemo and doing radiation for his follow-up treatments. But now to add onto that he was in the hospital for another week with some sort of staph infection. He was in isolation until they pinpointed the issue. (recent updates New Year’s Eve, )
Update-New scan this week, his tumor has grown and a new one has developed in the right front temporal interior, part of his brain Treatment began Wednesday! They are pinpointing both spots with aggressive radiation. Simultaneously with oral Chemo.
We, as Connie And Jerry‘s friends are asking you for help. First off, prayers are most important! Prayers and a positive attitude are so important in getting someone through such a terminal illness! We believe miracles can still happen! Second, we are hoping to raise enough money to not only pay for their exorbitant medical bills, but to also (when treatments are finished) we want to send them on a family vacation to South Dakota so he can spend time with his family and loved ones. We all have donated to Go Fund Me in the past! I know I have donated to so many causes over the years! Often to people I didn’t even know. If you could help in anyway, it would be greatly appreciated! Again, prayers matter the most!
Thank you! On behalf of Jerry and Connie’s community in Lakeville. ( and their Greenmill family.) Please help us to make this go viral.
