My dear friends and neighbors, Jerry and Regina Przygocki have been through the wringer lately, and need some help.

As many of you may already know, Jerry has suffered from rheumatoid arthritis for over 15 years now and has had to leave his house painting career behind him.  Now, his health has taken a scary turn.  He had a crisis in July, so we kind of knew this was possible, but last week he really hit a wall. On Dec 1 he went to Cayuga Med by ambulance then transferred to Upstate Medical Center, again by ambulance.  They had him in the ICU for 9 days, on a ventilator and IV antibiotics.  The outcome was looking mighty grim for some time, as he had septicemia and a cascade of organ catastrophes along with it.  The antibiotic is doing its job and he's been able to wean off the vent now, thank heavens.  


The bottom line here is that Jerry is darn sick and his wife, Regina has her hands so very full. The medical bills are drowning them at this point.  Jerry was self-employed, so leaving work means leaving income behind.  Regina is working her behind off, but frankly, these bills are beyond her means.  Jerry and Regina are having to choose between paying medical bills ($10k with nearly half gone to collection) and heating their home.  Absolutely anything you can share to keep the wolves away and help with the heat is so appreciated ...1 dollar or 5 can make a big difference.
