Update:
A few days after Christmas daddy's body was no longer able to fight for him. He passed away while mom and I held onto him. We sat with him a while, held his hand and kissed him goodbye for the last time December 28th. Thank you to everyone for your kind words of encouragement, your thoughts and prayers, and donations. This is a huge setback in our lives that we could never have been ready for.  

Words can't describe how we're all trying to stay strong and make it through such a difficult time at the moment. Anyone who knows Jerry Lee knows how helpful, hardworking and what joy he is to have around. Daddy sadly caught a bad case of pneumonia and has been hospitalized for weeks now. Christmas is definitely one of our family's favorite times of the year, but this Christmas daddy spent it in the hospital. Christmas morning the decision was made that a ventilator was needed to help him breathe and help his body heal. No child wants to be without their parent or watch them struggle. At the moment we are unsure when daddy will be able to come home... I am asking for help so that my parents don't have to carry as much of a burden with this setback in life. Anything given would be a blessing and very much appreciated. Our family has dealt with enough this year, and this was the last thing needed. Help is needed and greatly appreciated, thank you to everyone who can lend a helping hand.
