8 months ago Jerry’s skin cancers that are caused by his transplant medication became aggressive

He has been undergoing radiation and then chemotherapy

He has NOT tolerated either treatment

His lab work absolutely bottoms out with Chemotherapy and he becomes very sick

On Jan 8 th Jerry tested positive

but because of his lung transplant Medication was very limited for Jerry

On Monday Jerry’s oxygen levels dropped extremely low

He went to The Emergency Room in fort smith. After assessing him and tons of testing it was discovered that he had many more issues that wasn’t caused by the Covid but by the chemotherapy treatment. There wereThings that Mercy in fort smith could not handle

So he was transported to Baylor Hospital in Dallas

where he could be near his transplant team. We are in Dallas now. The doctors are treating several issues including the Covid. His CBC levels are extremely low

And he has fluid on his lungs

He is in a critical care isolation area not because of Covid but because he is at risk of further infection because of neutropenia. He's going threw chronic rejection and Squamous cell cancer ..fluid has built in left lung .they have found cirrhosis and some unidentified spots on liver they suspect liver cancer Metastasis can't not do a MRI because of shortness of breath . Looks like chemo is not an option. We will be here 4 -8 weeks asking for medical and living expenses..
