About a year ago, French-Chilean artist, actor and producer Adán Jodorowsky reached out to me via Instagram and sent an album he had recently produced, De Todas las Flores, by Natalia Lafourcade along with a proposal to collaborate. Little did he know, I had already been listening to that album as it had become one of my favorite releases of 2022. And little did I know that he was the producer of that album! So naturally, I responded with enthusiasm and we have been planning our first project together ever since. 

Fast forward to today, and the same record we connected over has just won three Grammys. Adán has also recently collaborated with multi Grammy Award winning artist Beck, who most recently was nominated in 2023 for Best Rock Performance on his cover of Neal Young’s “Old Man”. 

All this to say, this is a really special opportunity for us both to make something that has the potential for great success.

Now, the need. Our plan is to record at Adán’s home studio in Mexico City starting in mid January. We will record with a small band and a string quartet over the course of 22 days. The cost of hiring the band and strings for recording, travel, lodging, engineering and overall production comes out to be about $12,500. 

Any amount you can give will be greatly appreciated. And for any investment of $600 or above, I will grant full access to my Patreon as a top contributor for a two year period, which includes twice monthly live-stream concerts, exclusive access to early demos and bonus files (outtakes, live recordings from concerts, voice memos of song ideas, etc), and a personal video from me sharing my thoughts, inspirations, behind the scenes footage of my creative process, and a personal performance of one of my songs or a cover of your choosing, all on a monthly basis and for a total value of $1,200. And as an extra thank you for your contribution of $600 or above, you will also receive lifetime tickets to any of my concerts.
