Hello, good evening world. My name is Jerry Hobbs.

My significant other’s name is Shaquanna. Right now, we are going through one of the most difficult times of our lives.

A few years ago, I was hospitalized due to complications from diabetes, and just last year, I had to have my right leg amputated. Ever since then, life has been extremely hard. I was forced to stop working, and there were many days I found myself asking, “Why me?”

Just as life was starting to come back together, my wife had to undergo emergency brain surgery. On top of that, she’s been in and out of the hospital having seizures, and she was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. When I tell you the devil is always busy messing with God’s children… it’s real.

We have four beautiful children together whom we love dearly. I am doing my best to stay strong for them and for her. She is so strong herself – even through everything she is going through, she still manages to smile. That’s why I love her so much. I wouldn’t trade her for anything in this world.

Right now, we are asking for prayers first. If it’s on your heart to give, we would greatly appreciate any help during this time. Because of the length of both my medical emergency and hers over the past year, we have exhausted our savings taking care of bills, medical expenses, and the children. We have reached out to multiple resources, as well as family and friends, but this is our last resort.

Those who know me know I don’t have social media and I don’t ask for help often. But things are really tough for us right now, and we are in a time of need.
