Today (Oct. 21st) around 1pm-1:30pm I got my whole camera bag stolen in NYC, $6000+ worth of camera gear.
Inside I had my entire camera equipment, including my Sony A7III, 17-28mm, 28-75mm, 35mm f1.4, 85mm f1.8, 50mm f1.8 and other accessories such as my tripod, gopro, memory cards...etc.
This happened at the Jerry Driscoll Walk in downtown Manhattan, on the boardwalk under the FDR. Sadly none of my equipment was covered by insurance. I reported the theft to the 1st Precinct, even though hopes for my bag returning are almost non-existent, especially from that area which doesn't have any security cameras.
This year has been particularly hard for creators and photography/videography is currently my only source of income. Photoshoots only started picking up recently and I have a few scheduled. I am starting this GoFundMe to ask for your kind help to raise money in order to get my hands on a new camera + lenses in time for those shoots.
If you could help me out with a donation, I will be eternally grateful to you. I hope to re-purchase the gear I lost to be able to get back to my creative work and appreciate your support. Even a small amount would make a huge difference.
