Hi, my name is Crystal Cunnigham from the Canyon Creek Fire Department, and I am fundraising for a fellow firefighter, Jermey Harris. Jermey is battling renal cell carcinoma that took one of his kidneys 3 years ago and has since spread due to major “complications” of surgery to remove an adrenal gland last year. Jermey has been life-flighted numerous times to hospitals in the state and to the University of Utah. He and his family are battling countless medical bills and bills of everyday living and we would like to help take the burden of some of that off the family. So let me give you a little background on this remarkable man. He was born in Ft Rucker, Alabama, lived in Germany for a bit (where his sister Becky was born), then moved to Montana with his family, where his brother Nate and sister Janie were born. He went to elementary school in Helena and graduated from Helena High. He married the love of his life, Gina, and they have four wonderful children. He worked at CAP paving for 18 years, fighting wildfires with the Forest Service in the 90s, and volunteered at East Gate Fire for 8 years.
